As many of our followers know, we have had 2 college interns here with us for the summer, Kimberly from Kent State in Ohio and Alyssa from University of Utah; they are both gone back to their own worlds and have left a bit of a hole in our lives here on the farm. They’ve been with us thru births, breedings, poop cleanup, hay stacking and of coarse yarn making… good luck to both of you in your next adventures.
Wow!! Have we had a boat load of fantastic crias this year. 5 boys 6 girls and 7 more to come.
3 boys and 6 girls – only 9 more to come between now and November!!
Crooked Fence Alpacas Mill will be at the Juab County Fair August 11-14 – come and see what we have to offer. Get your yarn and get started on those Christmas projects you are always putting off til the last minute. We will have a few hats and scarves available for stocking up before winter and we have some patterns and kits available; come and check us out…

We had a great day lots of visitors and fun. The hit of the day was Carlotta, our friendly alpaca who loves children, she would cush down and let the children climb all over her with lots of hugs and kisses. If you missed it this year, be sure to come next year.
A little late to be reporting, but the report is good, so here goes…. A blue ribbon (1st place) for Vinney in the fleece competition. Midnite Nova took 3rd in his class, Shelby and Caramel Sensation took 3rd & 4th respectively in their class, and Black Diamonde and Mary Queen of Hearts (MeriMeri) both placed 5th in their classes. So all in all we took 10 animals, sold one, so only came home with 9, and one fleece; our ribbon count was 6 and we made lots of new friends and talked yarn and fiber processing with everyone… was a great show.
We have had 7 crias so far this year (July 2010)
2 boys and 5 girls
July we have 2 more due, 3 in August, 1 in September, and 6 in October… so check back often and see what our count is.
Meet the Alpacas
